Backtrack created by Mati Aharoni is a security consultant from Israel and Max Mosser . So it is a community collaboration . Backtrack itself a merger of whax which is one of the Linux distributions that are used to test the security of the origin of whax itself from Knoppix .

When Knoppix peak at version 3.0 then called with whax . Whax can be used to test the security of various network anywhere.Max Mosser is a collection of security auditors who specialize themselves to penetrate security in Linux . The combination of the auditor and this alone produces 300 Whax tools used for testing network security . Auditor security collection is also available on knoppix .
